2. What we collect, and why
2.1 When you send a quote request
The quote form asks for your name, company, email, phone (optional), the material you cut, sheet size and thickness, and any message you add. We use this to prepare a machine configuration, a cutting time and a price, and to follow up with you. The form is submitted to a server we run (hosted on Cloudflare) and stored there and in our own customer system. We keep quote requests for as long as we have a business relationship with you; if you do not become a customer, for up to 5 years after our last contact.
2.2 When you contact us by WhatsApp or email
The WhatsApp and email buttons open your own WhatsApp app or mail client. Nothing you write is sent to us until you choose to send it. We do count clicks on the WhatsApp button in our analytics (see 2.3). Conversations are kept in our customer system for the same period as quote requests.
2.3 Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to count visits, see which pages are read, and measure whether our advertising, including Google Ads, brings the right visitors.
- Until you choose: no analytics or advertising cookies are set. Google receives only cookie-free measurement data (page views without a persistent identifier).
- If you choose Accept: Google Analytics cookies are set so that visits from the same browser can be counted together, and you allow Google to use advertising cookies to measure our ads.
- If you choose Reject: cookies are not set; the cookie-free measurement continues.
You can change your choice at any time under Cookie settings at the bottom of any page. Google processes this data under its own terms; see Google's privacy policy. Analytics data is retained in our Google Analytics account for 14 months.
2.4 Language selector
The language selector is provided by GTranslate and uses Google Translate. The translation service is only loaded when you use the language selector. If you pick a language other than English, the page is translated through Google Translate, which may receive your IP address and the address of the page.
2.5 Server and security logs
Our web server and Cloudflare keep standard access logs (IP address, time, page requested, browser type) to keep the site running and to stop abuse. We normally keep our server logs for about 60 days; Cloudflare keeps its own logs under its own terms.
3. What we do not do
- We do not sell or rent your information.
- We do not share it with anyone except the service providers that help us run this site and handle your enquiry — Google, Cloudflare, GTranslate, Resend (email delivery), Zoho (email hosting) and the AI services we use to translate and summarise messages — and, where required, our own staff who handle your enquiry.
- We do not make automated decisions about you.
4. Where data is processed
We are based in China. Our customer system is operated by us. The service providers named above may process data in other countries, including the United States, under their own safeguards.
5. Your rights
You can ask us at any time to tell you what we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, or to stop using it for marketing. Write to privacy@vichor.com. We answer within 30 days. If you are in the EU/EEA, the UK or another jurisdiction with a data-protection authority, you also have the right to complain to that authority.
6. Changes
If we change this page, the date at the top changes with it. Material changes will be noted here for at least 30 days.
