VICHOR Annealing Furnace<\/strong> is\u00a0a piece of heat treatment equipment\u00a0used to transform or restore metallurgical properties in a temperature controlled environment, allowing the strength and hardness properties of these materials and internal stresses to be changed.<\/p>\n

When the form or shape of any metal item is changed as part of a manufacturing process, this will usually alter its underlying metallurgy, through work hardening, for example the wire drawing process.<\/p>\n

Annealing furnaces are used sequentially in such manufacturing processes, to restore or further change the metal\u2019s properties in order to achieve the desired end-results for the product concerned. As a result of this they come in a wide variety of sizes and are capable of different functions and temperatures. There are two main forms of annealing furnace in use, with the differences between the two as follows:<\/p>\n

Batch annealing furnace<\/strong> \u2013 Single or multiple stacks of items, such as coils, go inside the heated chamber on a static base and are heated and cooled over a fixed interval.<\/p>\n

Continuous annealing furnace<\/strong> \u2013 Material is heated as it moves along a conveyor belt or on a rotating base.<\/p>\n

Whether a process requires a batch annealing furnace or a continuous annealing furnace depends on the types of metal involved, and the properties which need to be modified within the materials used. A longer length of wire or a length of strip product will generally require a continuous annealing furnace, while a batch annealing furnace would deal with smaller projects.<\/p>\n
